G8SC Louvre grille, fire + smoke resistant
These adjustable grilles are connected to a standard 24V fire or smoke alarm or detection system. As soon as this system observes fire or smoke the grilles immediately close, providing a barrier to the passage of cold smoke or gas. Under normal circumstances the grilles are held in the open position for good air circulation. Louvre grilles are filled with intumescent material which swells to many times the original thickness when the temperature reaches 120°C Celsius. The louvres fuse together to form a non-combustible barrier. In effect the grille acts as a static fire barrier.
